Several outreach activities have been carried out to enhance the broader impact of the project.

Through the Science and Technology Access to Research and Graduate Education (STARGE) program funded by NSF and hosted by Jackson State University, three high-student STARGE students Aaron Walker, Wayne Hwang, and Jeremy Harper have participated in this project over the Summers of 2003 through 2005. They each of the participant made a presentation of their research findings at the end of their periods.

The project also involves middle school science teachers in the research during the Summer. The science teachers can help disseminate the information on the project and raise public awareness of the E-waste issues through the classes they teaches.
